SPOJMONT ranked in the Top 5 of the ESG 2024

On November 7, 2024, we participated in the significant ESG Networking event held to announce the ESG rankings by the Association for Corporate Social Responsibility, at the Prague Congress Center. This date also marks the release of the November issue of Forbes, which exclusively published the 2024 ESG rankings in two categories: 1. Large Enterprises, and 2. Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. What brings us the most joy is that Spojmont Ostrava ranked in the Top 5 of small and medium-sized companies, a wonderful recognition of our long-term commitment to sustainability.

ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) is becoming a key factor for business development worldwide. Although for some companies, reporting the impact of their activities is still a challenge, the Czech Republic has made tremendous progress in this area. The third edition of the ESG rankings confirms this and demonstrates how Czech companies are increasingly focusing on sustainability.

Spojmont Ostrava – Engineering with an Eye on an Ecological Future

Spojmont is an example of a company that not only meets ESG standards but also actively contributes to the creation of modern and sustainable industrial infrastructure. This engineering company, specializing in sheet metal processing using state-of-the-art CNC technologies, serves a wide range of customers, from telecommunications and electronics to the railway industry and data center construction.

The company focuses on continuous development, evidenced by its investments in new technologies, including plans for a new grinding and welding center. The modernization of its machinery is part of a broader goal—not only to become more technologically advanced but also more eco-friendly. Step by step, Spojmont is minimizing its ecological footprint and adapting its production to meet the demands of today’s world.

In 2024, the company faced an unexpected challenge—floods that inundated the entire facility and caused significant damage. Despite these difficulties, the Spojmont team has not given up and is focused on restoring production, which is now their greatest challenge. Their determination proves that sustainability is not only about meeting standards but also about the ability to face crises and persevere through tough times.

The Story of Spojmont Ostrava Shows that Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Can Play a Key Role in Sustainability

ESG is not just for large corporations. Small and medium-sized businesses often have the flexibility that allows them to respond quickly to changes and implement ecological and social initiatives. The ESG approach not only helps improve a company’s image but also attracts new customers, partners, and investors who prefer ethical and sustainable businesses.

ESG in Czech Business: A Trend That Continues

The third edition of the ESG rankings and their publication in the latest Forbes issue show that Czech companies are increasingly focused on sustainability. While for some businesses, assessing and reporting their impacts can be challenging, the trend is clear: companies are placing more emphasis on environmental responsibility, transparency, and ethical practices.
